Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

We had a very nice Easter despite the veryyyy chilly weather!  

We woke up early and the girls loved going through their baskets...

And then we got ready for church...

When I tell Josie to smile most of the time she squints and it looks like her eyes are closed...

so this time I told them to open their eyes big..

hence the deer in headlights look!

When I picked Josie up from her class at church her teacher told me that when they were reading the story of Easter Josie covered her mouth and said "oh no" when Jesus died...

and when the teacher said Jesus is alive...Josie clapped! :)

After church we went up to Syracuse...

Bunny & Eggs

The weekend before Easter Jeff & I took the girls to breakfast with the Easter bunny.  

We've been going for a few years now and the girls always have a good time 

with the creepy bunny! :)

I was going back and forth about letting Josie color eggs with us or wait until she was napping.  

Part of me realllly wanted to wait until she was sleeping so it could be quick and easy and Kenzie could color all the eggs...but then I felt bad b/c I knew JoJo would love to color too!

It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be with Joise...and she loved it!

Which made me sad to think I wasn't going to let her in on the fun!

Spring Break

Last week Kenzie was on spring break! 

The weather was crappy...it rained for many of the days and it was cold...but we did mange to have some fun!

We started the week out at Olive's first birthday party!

I can't believe she's already one!

During the car ride from Greene to Constantia and back to Greene we counted a total of 157 deer!!!

That's a lot of deer!

This girl crashed as soon as we got home!

Despite the cold weather we managed to play outside a little bit...

I wasn't too happy about having to wear winter coats in April!

In the middle of the week Kenzie had a friend over...

These two have been in the same class for 3 years..they are so cute together!

I really wanted to surprise Kennie with something fun and exciting so I planned on going ice skating with her on Wednesday.  So I told her on Tuesday about it and she was so excited!  

So Tuesday night I check the rink's website to find out exactly where it is and in big red letters it said

"last day of open skate March 31...open again in September!"  

We were planning on going the next day, April 1!

So I promised Kennie we'd do something else fun...

So we went to see Cinderella and at some fro yo at Hoopla!

On the last day of the break the weather got a little better so we spent some time outdoors....

Sesame Street Live!

A couple weeks ago Jeff & I took the girls to Sesame Street Live!

Kenzie was able to pull her "big sister" card and act like we were going there for Josie but she was so excited!  She told all her teachers leading up to the day that she was going to see Elmo & friends! :)

Of course, I'm sure she said we were taking Josie to see Elmo and Kenzie was just coming along!

They both had so much fun!

I didn't think Kenzie would want to wear something Elmo-ish but to my surprise she was bummed when I didn't have anything special for her to wear!  So luckily I was able to squeeze her into one of Josie's t-shirts!  

 (Jeff was there too but refused a picture! Grrr!)
