Christmas 2009!

What a WONDERFUL Christmas! It was even more fun that we expected with our little sweetheart! Jeff was actually so excited he woke up a few times in the middle of the night...hehe! We couldn't wait for Kenzie to see all the presents Santa left for her! Her main present was a pretend kitchen.

I was very excited to see Kenzie's reaction with the presents and it was actually not as I expected. I think she might have actually been a little overwhelmed with the presents and mommy and daddy taking pictures and recording her every move! haha! She wouldn't let me put her down at first and she was actually scared to touch the kitchen! I would tell her to go over and play with the kitchen and she would go towards it but run back to me! It happened a few times before I had to go with her....and since then she has been glued to her kitchen! :)

Taking a break to eat a cookie...Christmas might be the only day I allow Kenzie to have a cookie at 7:30 AM before breakfast! :)

After we finished with the gifts from Santa, my mom came over and we unwrapped our gifts....

And at one point Kenzie decided to take a break on one of her presents! :) Notice Kenzie's wearing her new squeaky shoes from Grampy! She loves them b/c she loves to hear them squeak and mommy loves them b/c I always know where she is! :)

After Kenzie's nap we headed over to my sister's house to have an early dinner and exchange gifts.

I just had to post this scary picture...my sister and I coundn't help but laugh after she took it. With the little evil look and the flames in the backgound it's not the best Christmas picture, but I think it's funny! haha!

Right now we are looking forward to see what 2010 brings! :)

Christmas Eve

Kenzie & I had a very relaxing Christmas Eve! Jeff had to work from 12-6:30 so Kenzie & I headed over to my sister's house for dinner before Christmas Eve service at our church. I was very skeptical about taking Kenzie to church. For one thing it would be past her bedtime...she's use to being in bed around 6:45-7 and that's what time the service started. And another thing, the nursery was not going to be open, meaning that I would have a cranky 1 year old in a very crowded church! She did well for the first half hour! After that she got a little cranky and we spent the last half hour in the nursery by ourselves. She loved it.

I am so excited to start Christmas traditions with Kenzie! When I was young Santa would leave PJ's on Christmas Eve. It was so exciting! I know Kenzie is a little too young to understand but I was very excited when Santa brought Kenzie these new jammies!

I also tried reading Kenzie the book "Twas the Night Before Christmas" but she was not interested and decided she wanted to hear "The Wheels on the Bus" instead....oh well, I guess we can start that tradition next year! :)

Justine & Tati...

On Sunday Justine & Tatiana came by to spend some much needed girls only time (Jeff was at work)! I forgot how fast a day can go by with my other half! Tati liked Kenzie toys and Kenzie liked sharing them! :) Everything Tati wanted to play with suddenly so did Kenzie! lol :) They got along well which makes us happy since they are going to be BFF (we already decided). They will be the new "Kristine"-the mix between Kristin & Justine that we made up in college. We use to be very corny! hehe

Sleeping with her new puppy dog (a gift from Justine & Tati)! After 20+ minutes of crying, Kenzie finally fell asleep only after I gave her puppy dog! :)

Santa & Christmas lights

This is the closest Kenzie will get to Santa this year....sitting right in her stroller at least 10 feet away from the big guy with Mommy right next to her. After about 5 desperate attempts of getting the annual Santa pic....I gave up!

On the way back from the mall we drove by a house that has at least 50 blow up decorations in their yard! Kenzie loved it....

and cried some more....I have noticed a trend in my posting lately...a lot of crying/tantrum pics....terrible 2's coming early?!?!

These pictures have nothing to do with Santa or Christmas lights....but I thought they were cute. I could just watch her play all day...

Celebrating Christmas a little early...

On Saturday Jeff's younger sister, Nataly and his mom came up from NJ to celebrate Christmas! Unfortunately Jeff's other sister, Kathy was unable to make the trip (poor girl is still suffering from bad morning sickness at 6 months!!). Jeff & I were very excited to see them and for them to see Kenzie since they have not seen her since August! They were only able to stay 1 night but we all had a good time! We were going to wait until Sunday morning to unwrap gifts when Kenzie would be a little less tired and grouchy but once Kenzie saw new toys she suddenly wasn't so grumpy anymore! She even signed "more" after unwrapping the 1st present....lol....at least she'll know what to do on Christmas morning!

Right before I took this picture she was playing with her new pretend food, but as soon as I got my camera and told her to look at Mommy she threw her food and started throwing a little fit! I guess she over taking pictures!
