September Wrap Up

Well it's officially Fall now...

and I love it!  

September was fun.

Kindergarten is going well.  

Kenzie loves it! 

We've enjoyed some nice weather...

 and had some fun indoors too....

Blankie love! :)  

I'm excited for October.

Pumpkins, apples, Halloween....

and...

most importantly....

Someone is turning 1!!

Citizen of the Week

During the first full week of school Makenzie won the "Citizen of the Week" award in her class. 

She was beyond excited!  

As soon as she got off the bus she wanted to quickly call daddy at work to tell him!

So cute!

For "the citizen" there is something special for them everyday in their classroom.  

On Monday she was announced at morning program and went up front to receive her award....

 On Tuesday she brought in a poster filled out with all of her favorite things.

On Wednesday she could bring in 2 show and tell items (one book and one toy).  She picked a My Little Pony and a Little Mermaid book!
On Thursday I was invited to come in and have lunch with her! :)  I think I was more excited than Kenzie was! hehe 

And on Friday the class made her a special friendship book! 

And all throughout the week she was able to sit in the gold chair!!  I guess the chair is a pretty big deal! :)  

The other day Makenzie came home from school and was telling me how she was playing with 2 other girls.  One of the girls got mad at Kenzie and the other one and said that she's not going to be friends with them anymore.  The other girl started crying and Makenzie said she almost started crying too....but then she said "so I went over to the girl (who was mad) and we talked it out and I made everyone be friends again" .  Can I tell you how proud I was of her!?!! And can I tell you how much I would give to listen to them "talking it out".  :) 

11 months old!

On the 19th little miss Jo turned 11 months!

One more month until the big 1!!! 

 I can't believe it!  

I wish time would just slow down a tiny bit!

Although it's exhausting, I do love this age! :)

Here is JoJo at 11 months....

 *Walking!!!  Every day she is getting better and better! :) 

 *Getting into EVERYTHING!  I seriously can't leave her for a minute without her getting in to things that she knows she shouldn't be getting in to!!

 *Size 3 diaper (although we will probably be starting 4's soon)

*Mostly size 12 month clothes

 *Getting up 4-5 times a night.  I have no words for this....I have just accepted that I may never sleep again.  

 *Gets so excited when she sissy gets off the bus! :)

 *Gives the best kisses!!

 *Loves Baby Einstein dvds

 *Loves swinging, going for walks, riding in the buggy, and baths!

 *Has tried some new food: mango (loved it when we sampled it in the store, but didn't like it at home), waffles w/out syrup, bananas, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes...it's hard to tell what she likes.  Most of it ends up on the floor or in her hair!

 *Had her first ear infection this past week :(  Poor girl was in so much pain. 

 *Takes 2 naps.  The first one around 9:30 and the second one around 3:30.  

I really can't believe my next monthly post will be her 12 month post!

We have a walker...

Little JoJo is walking!! 

A couple weeks ago (9/7) she took 4 steps!  

I didn't even know she was ready yet...her little legs still seemed like jello! :) 

Since then she has taken a few steps here and there but a few days ago (9/16) she took 13 steps!! :)  

She still crawls mostly, but everyday she's taking more and more steps (13 is the most so far)...

So proud of our little redheaded firecracker! :)  

1st day of school!

Well our baby is officially in Kindergarten! 

How did that happen? I don't know...wasn't she just born!?!?  

 We took her in the first day to walk her to her room.  

We could tell she was a little nervous, but she didn't give us any problems! 

She found her hook for her backpack and then found her seat.  

And then gave us kisses goodbye!

When I saw this dress at TCP I knew I had to get it for Kenzie...

she was so excited to wear it!! :)

Meet the Teacher

In our district Kindergartners go to "meet the teacher" on the Wednesday after Labor Day 

and their first official day of school is Thursday.

I love this.

I think it definitely helps Kenzie get excited for the year!

She met her teacher, found her seat, where to hang her jacket & back pack and even saw a couple of her friends from Pre-K that are in her class this year! 

 After we went out for pizza and then for Cold Stone! :)   

This was Kennie's first time at Cold Stone....

I think she enjoyed it! 

Labor Day

Our Labor Day started a little wet!  

So much rain that the parade was cancelled... :(

But luckily the weather cleared up by the afternoon and we were able to enjoy the day!

Jo enjoyed her first Labor Day picnic....

Summer we will miss you! :)
