Cole Park

Today I took the girls to Cole Park for some summer fun!

Jeannine & the kiddos met us there...yes, all 5 kids! 

Jo & Kennie had a great time with their cousins!

Both girls fell asleep as soon as we got in the car.

JoJo continued sleeping when I moved her to her crib....

and then when she woke up crying I held her out on the couch and she fell asleep again!

All the swimming and playing in the sand really tired this little girl out!

1st Grade here we come!

Today was Kenzie's last day of Kindergarten!!

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit sad!

1st grade is old!  

I've subbed in 1st grade classrooms many times and they work hard!

Not that Kindergartners don't but 1st grade is just so much more work and less play...

and that makes me sad!

Makenzie had a great year.

She loved her teacher and teacher's aides. 

She made new friends and kept some old friends too from pre-k. 

She's a reader....and loves to read new books!  

She adds and subtracts.  

She has awesome handwriting and can color and draw so well!

But most importantly she's a good little girl.  

So many adults from her school tell me how sweet and polite she is...

she always listens and gets along with all the other kids...

and it's music to my ears!

 We finished gymnastics for the summer...

Kennie loves gymnastics and she was a little bummed to take a break from it...

but we plan on starting right back up again in the fall!

just a few minutes later I went to get her out of the car to find that she had chewed a hole in the box and made a mess everywhere!

Here are some pictures from the past few weeks or so!

I don't know what it is but lately Makenzie is looking so grown up!

I can't pinpoint what is making her look older...but I'm not too sure I'm happy with it! :)

I looked in to Kennie's room to find Josie on the horse (for dolls) reading books :)

Again, how grown up does she look?!? 

Josie will climb on her changing table and call me to change her diaper.

Even though most times she's not even wet!

It was so sweet....

until this happened...

I think Josie wanted to get up and Kenzie wasn't letting her...

so I think Jo attacked and made Kenzie upset. haha!
