1st Broken Bone...

...and hopefully the last!

Poor big sister broke her wrist!  Not only did she brake a bone she broke it while mama was at the hospital having Josie! She came to visit me at the hospital with my mom and I knew right away something was definitely wrong with her arm!  She's pretty tough when it comes to injuries and I could tell she was in pain!  

From what I've gathered I believe she was on a small stool and fell off.  She might have been reaching for a balloon and/or dancing....she's told me both stories so I guess we'll never know! :) 

Despite being in pain, Kenzie was VERY excited to meet little sis at the hospital!  She asked to hold her right away...too cute!  But poor girl was in a lot of pain and kept on crying and holding her arm!   Not exactly the visit I had envisioned!  Jeff & my mom ended up taking her downstairs to the ER!  

The ER doctor sent her home with a splint and an appointment with an orthopedist.  Turns out she broke a bone in her wrist in 2 places, but should be completely healed in about 4 weeks or so!  We go back on Monday for xrays to make sure it's healing and then it should only be 2 weeks more with the cast!  

1 Week Old

Even though it's only been 7 days with little Josie we can't imagine our lives without her!

We can't believe baby Josie is here already....seems like yesterday we found out we were pregnant!!  Crazy how fast this pregnancy went!  

We are so blessed to have 2 precious little girls!! 

First Field Trip

Today was Kenzie's first field trip!  

Boy, was she excited!

Her class went to Lilley Farms...

They had a beautiful day....high 60's and sunny...perfect!

Kenzie was very excited that Levi and Grammy waited out for the bus with her. :)

 After school she was wired!  I'm not sure if she was excited about the field trip or the fact that daddy was home....I think a little bit of both! :)

 Usually she doesn't tell me much about school but she was eager to tell me stories about the farm....

Her favorite part of the day was petting a puppy and 2 horses!  

She was also very excited about the hayride and eating lunch at the farm (in the hay)!

Fall Fun

Our weekend started out at my doctor appt on Friday....

as of now I'm 38 weeks and 2 cm dilated and my doctor says little Josie will be here any day now!  How exciting!  I think my belly is about ready to pop....so lets hope she'll come before that happens! :)

Friday night we went to Family Fun Night at our church!  Kenzie was excited to wear her costume! :)  

While we were there Kenzie helped carve a pumpkin!  

The next day she realllly wanted to paint the pumpkin....

 Later in the day we played outside for a bit to enjoy some nice cool fall weather....

 It wasn't sunny outside so I'm not sure why she had to wear sunglasses :)

Apple Fest

Last weekend our village had it's annual Apple Fest!  

I love fall and everything about it so I was excited to enjoy some fall festivitites!  

Kenzie was very excited for a candy apple...

How crazy to think by next month we will have another little girl in our home! :)

Lately, Jeff  & I can hear bits and pieces of her days at school through Kenzie playing!  

It's so cute when she tells her dogs to "criss cross applesauce" and last night she was putting on a show for us and she started talking about bad choices/good choices and asked Jeff if he needed to sit in a chair to think about his bad choice (which I think was folding laundry while watching Kenzie perform! :).

She has also been "reading" all the time!  I love seeing her reading her books..too cute!
The other day I told her that next year she will learn how to read....she informed me that she already knows! haha...I guess 2 weeks in Pre-K she's already a reader...silly me! :)

The other day I came in to her room to find her reading to her dogs...

Her favorite book to "read" is Brown Bear, Brown Bear! :)

I think she's getting a little tired of this crazy mama with a camera before school....but I just can't help it! :)
