Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was a nice day filled with family and a lot of very yummy food! Kenzie had a great time playing with her cousins and wrestling with her 9 year old cousin Cody! I think we might have a little tomboy on our hands! She loves to play rough....you would think she had older brothers! Kenzie with a couple of her favorite people...Uncle Scott & Aunt Emily!
Big Baby Brayden! He is such a cutie...and so big...I kept on forgetting he is only 6 months old!

After all the Thanksgiving festivities my mom and I decided to head to Toys-R-Us for a little shopping! We have never shopped on Thanksgiving before and it's something that I will probably not do again! I personally hate that more and more stores are open on Thanksgiving but since Toys-R-Us opened at 10PM I thought Thanksgiving was practically over anyway so why not get a head start on the sales! I was not prepared for the line...we waited outside in freezing, cold & rainy weather for well over an hour (I'm sure that's not bad compared to what some people are willing to do for sales but I thought it was horrible!). After we finally got in we had to wait over another hour just to check out! Ahhh.....it might not have been worth the $25 I saved but at least Kenzie will wake up on Christmas morning to a doctor set, play-doh accessories and a choo choo train! :)

These pictures are not from Thanksgiving but they are "turkey related" so I thought I'd throw them in this post. A few days ago Kenzie & I made paper turkeys! She was so excited...it was so cute! She laugh and squeal from excitement like it was Christmas morning! :) The body of the turkey was made from tracing her foot and the rest of the turkey was from tracing her hands. I want to do this craft every year to see how big the turkey gets from year to year!

Our Week...

Here are some pictures from last week! The week started out pretty chilly but by the end of the week the weather was beautiful! We (Kenzie & I....Jeff, not so much) have been getting into the Christmas spirit this week! Kenzie & I have been watching a lot of Christmas movies and reading Christmas books and of course listening to Christmas music! I just love this time of year! Jeff & I also took care of most of our Christmas shopping this past week too! :)

Kenzie playing with her bean tub....
I'm not sure if I ever posted pictures of her bean tub but she loves it! I got the idea from another blog that I follow and just loved the idea! I bought the bin at Walmart and just filled it with beans and some sand toys! It's not too messy...and it keeps Kenzie busy for quite some time! Sometime this winter I want to make another smaller bin of uncooked pasta (I just got that idea this week from the same blog! I wish I could come up with these ideas on my own! hehe).
Kenzie and the turkeys....or also known as "chickens"! A house
few houses down decorates for every holiday and Kenzie loves their decorations! We have to walk by them a few times a week so Kenzie can look at them!
This day was rather chilly so we went for a quick walk just to get out of the house for a bit.....

She sang Ring Around the Rosie over and over again as she walked in circles around a tree...
On Tuesday we went to the library for the story of The Gingerbread Baby!
Before we left for the library....
After the story the kids decorated a gingerbread baby! Here is a picture of Kenzie's cookie!
We also went back to story time! I think this winter we will be spending a lot of time at the library! Kenzie always has fun there, it's a short 3-4 minute walk from our house and everything is FREE! :) She enjoyed story time but she was not the best behaved little one! She picks her nose all the time now and she started doing it during the story...so I just casually brushed her finger out of her nose. Well Kenzie wasn't too happy. She (very loudly) told me not to touch her and got up and stood in the corner, covering her face (when she covers her face she thinks I can't see her) and picked her nose! Yea, I was little embarrassed! I wasn't sure to let her pick or make a bigger scene and make her get back on the rug with the other kids...but at that point who wants to sit next to a bugger picking little girl...esp when this week's topic was GERMS! hahaha!
Here is the little nose picker with her craft....

On another note...we got some Christmas jammies out! :)
And on Saturday we went to Santa's Workshop at the school! We looked through some crafts and had a quick lunch.

Just a picture I thought I would throw in the post....I think she looks so cute walking around all bundled up in her towel! :)
Wow....that seemed like a really long post! :)

Our Week In Pictures....

We painted our pumpkin...

Played with the basket...
And then got "stuck" in it and called for help....hehe
Sat in time out with doggie (Kenzie was actually not in trouble....only doggie was in t/o and I can't remember what the poor pup did!)
Had a Little People birthday party! She did this all by herself....I thought it was too cute! :)
Cuddled in our bed to watch Dora & Diego!
*notice the difference b/t blankets....one is bright pink and the other is well....not so bright! Can you guess which one is the one she brings everywhere?!?!
And lastly, was a princess right up until bedtime....

Fall Fun...

Last week Kenzie & I carved a pumpkin for the 1st time! She enjoyed helping me take the seeds out and popping out the pumpkin's face. She named her pumpkin "Baby Bop".

Playing with Abbie...
They found a ladybug and were glued to it for several minutes!
Playing outside on a beautiful fall day...
Today Kenzie and I attended story time at the library for the 1st time! It has been on my to do list since summer, yet every week I would forget all about it! I am so happy I took Kenzie....she had a lot of fun and we will definitely be going back soon!

Here she is with her craft she made....(a mouth...she glued the teeth on). She was very excited about it..it was the first thing she showed Daddy when he came home from work today! :)
