ZOO....and some random pics!

Today we had a little girls day out at the Binghamton Zoo! My college friend Sam came down from Albany to Oneonta last night and this morning Sam, Justine, Tatiana and I all headed to the zoo! It was a lot of fun! We worked up quite the appetite from the zoo since all the trails seem to be up hill and after we had a very delicious lunch. Kenzie seemed to like the zoo....she got close to some goats and loved to watch the fish! She was very good all day....She seems to know how to fool everyone....why does she only throw tantrums for me when no one is around?!? I love her dearly but believe me Sam & Justine she does have some sassiness to her! hehe :)

Weekend pics...

Sometimes when Kenzie is napping I will go into the room to get something and realize she is still awake. I automatically hide from her b/c I know if she sees me she will cry and want to be picked up. Well since the pack 'n play has a see through netting all around it's pretty hard to hide from her. There is no hiding from Kenzie...she will squish her face up to the netting to look for me! She looks at me with those big eyes saying "please pick me up Mommy!!" How could I say no?!? hehe

Memorial Day Weekend!

I had a great Memorial Day weekend. Saturday was Abbie's 1st birthday party (see post below) and on Sunday my best friend Justine came with her daughter for a visit! The weather was beautiful and we spent the day outside and took a walk to get ice cream! On Monday we went to the Memorial Day parade! The parade was very short (lasted probably less than 5 minutes) but all the girls seemed to enjoy it! I enjoyed dressing Makenzie up in red, white & blue! After the parade Jeannine set up a kiddie pool and the babies loved it!! I am very excited for Summer to spend time by the kiddie pool with the girls!! :)

Also did you notice my new blog look???? I am VERY excited to have a nice looking blog!! Jennifer did such a good job making my "blah" blog look fun and pretty!! I would def recommend Jennifer if anyone wants to make their blog pretty! :)

Abbie's 1st Birthday Party!!

On Saturday we celebrated Abbie's first birthday party!! The weather was beautiful...and of course Abbie looked A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!! I didn't get many good pics of Abbie but I know Jeannine will post some cute pictures of her! :) Jeannine spent all day on Friday baking and preparing for her party!! Abbie had a GIANT cake all for herself....Jeannine also made cupcakes & the best cupcake lollipops ever!! I hope Kenzie's first birthday bash will be as fun!!

This & That...

I haven't had much to blog about lately....I realized that it's been almost 2 weeks since I have posted!! I also realized I have not taken many pictures in the past couple weeks! A quick Kenzie update...

-She finally has teeth!!! 1 has made an appearance and what a fine looking tooth it is! The other bottom tooth is just about to break through!!

-She recently has taken on quite an attitude!! She has thrown quite a few tantrums at home and at stores if I take something away from her! How dare I take something away from Princess Kenzie?!?

-I think she definitely has come out of her shell a lot...I can see a lot more of her personality lately! I think I have a little sassy girl on my hands...

Mother's Day!

I had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!! I was very excited for Mother's Day this year since it was my very first with Makenzie! Jeff took us out to lunch at Cracker Barrel and we relaxed the rest of the day! Later in the day Jeannine & I had ice cream sundaes and chocolate chip pie with our mom! It was a great day!! :)

Apparently ProFlowers thought I was a great mom this year b/c they sent me an extra bouquet of roses and chocolate. Perhaps it was a mistake but I believe they thought I deserved them!! :)

The weather was very chilly but we still were able to go for a quick stroll with the pink buggy!
