NY State Fair

On Thursday we drove up to Syracuse for the NY State Fair!  

I think Kenzie inherited my love the fair b/c she was so excited and did not want to go home!  

I, on the other hand was more than ready to leave....my back was killing me, it was hot and I was tired!  I was a trooper though and stayed a little longer than I wanted to b/c Kenzie wanted to see more animals and ride more rides! :)

 I may be biased but I think she was the cutest cow in the cow building! :)

 We met up with Scott, Emily & Brayden for a few hours! :)

 Kenzie was very excited to hold a baby chic!  It's crazy b/c I remember being excited to hold baby chics at the fair too! :)

 Kenzie loved riding the rides!  

It was so cute....on some of the rides she really thought she was making the horses/cars move.  

She told me she couldn't wave to me b/c she had to watch where she was going!  

And on some other rides she was being a clown and looking at us from the corner of her eye and saying "I'm keeping my eye on you guys!".  

 When I asked Kenzie what her favorite part was she quickly told me it was the petting zoo!  

And, if I remember correctly this was her favorite part last year too! :)

She loved being able to feed all the animals....but she was a little bummed when the zebra wasn't hungry! 

 Right before leaving we went back to the dairy building to get another chocolate milk (my favorite recently!) and Kenzie insisted on riding the baby cows!  She looked so old (it didn't help there was a 9 month baby on right before her) but she had fun! :)

Next year I will get to introduce Josie to the state fair! :)

Kenzie's 1st Haircut

Well....we only trimmed her hair (1 inch) but that still counts as a haircut, right?

I wanted a clean look for the start of school and surprisingly only taking an inch off worked!  

Kenzie was not happy!  Kenzie loves having long hair. I assured her that we were only cutting a little tiny bit off b/c honestly mommy loves her long hair too, but she did not want anything to do with it!

At first she refused to sit in the chair...what a stinker! :)

 Happy the torture is over! :)

Zoo

Last week I drove up to Syracuse to meet up with Scott, Emily & Brayden at the zoo!  

Kenzie was very excited!  

We had a great time...

 You would never guess there are 2 years between Brayden & Makenzie! :)

 It was so cute watching the elephant drink water from the water hole...

This is her official zoo dress!  Even though Jeff told me this is the last year she'll be wearing it!  I guess he's sick of seeing it! :)

She's grown so much! :)  

I think this dress might be Josie's "zoo dress" in a couple years! :)

Kenzie's 4th Birthday Party

Last Saturday we had Kenzie's party!  

It was a teeny tiny party but Kenzie thought it was perfect!:)  

I had planned a few months back to have her party at Chuck E Cheese...I was so excited to tell Makenzie about her party, but to my surprise she did NOT want it at Chuck E Cheese!  I was trying to convince her to  change her mind but she was not having it...maybe next year?  

We had a few guests over at my sister's house.   

 We played games....

(just for the record Kenzie did not like this game.  I think it was b/c she came in last.  She informed me later that she never wants to play this game again at her next party and if Josie has a party! hehe)

 Slowly the "losers" gathered on the steps to watch Sophie & Ella :)  Kenzie & Abbie were not too happy about getting out of the game so quickly! 

 Balloon pop game....whoever popped the balloon with the heart sticker inside won! :)

We bought Kenzie a ice cream cake this year and she was so excited about it! :)  

 (She got a little weird while we were singing to her...hehe)

 After the cake and presents the party turned into a pool party! :)

When I see Abbie with the glasses on I can't help but think of the old 6 Flags commercial with that old dancing man...if you don't remember it then search it on youtube! :)

 Kenzie had so much fun!  :)  

I still can't believe we have a 4 year old!!
