Summer so far...

Summer so far has been quite nice!
The only complaint...it's going by too quickly!

Jeff has started a  new job...that's right by our house!  Yay!
He will be working around the same amount of hours
but without a 30 minute commute and we can see him a lot more!
The girls and I always walk that way so we can visit and he can come home for lunch/dinner! :)
Plus we will be saving $250+ a month on gas...woohoo!

Kenzie started summer program last week.
She was very excited!
It's a fun program M-F 9-12...
they have daily swimming lessons, arts and crafts and outdoor/indoor games.
And they serve lunch!
She loved it the first week and was excited each morning but by the 2nd week she said she didn't want to go anymore...so I guess we'll see!  I told her she doesn't have to go everyday...so a couple days a week.
She said she would rather stay home with mama! and I guess that's ok with me! :)
She wont be saying that much longer...so I cherish my time with my big girl.
Josie had to take 2 baby dolls, Elmo bag, sippy cup and 2 baby bottles with her...
ugh! this girl!

We having been spending a lot of time at mommy's work...
I love the library during the summer..so many fun events!
Last week we had pirate night...
A week or so ago my sister's dog died. :(
When I told Kenzie about it she was upset and cried and immediately made them this card...

Baby sister got a pedicure (by mommy) the other day...
Kenzie and I were trying to hide behind my bed so Jo wouldn't see us painting our nails but
she found us! and insisted that we paint her nails too! :)
Painted baby toes....so cute!
We having been spending a lot of time at the new playground this summer...
I'm so happy we finally have a nice place to play that's a walking distance away!

We've also spent some nights watching tv in mommy's bed...
A few weeks ago I decided to take the girls to a nearby pool that we have never gone to before.
I googled it found the hours online and packed up our swimming stuff...
This was on the way to Jeff's work so we dropped him off went home for lunch and then left a couple hours early to pick him up so we can spend some time at the pool first.
The girls had on sun block and their bathing suits and we headed out to the pool....
and then we got there and realized we were the only ones in sight.
No other swimmers, no life guards, no one!
I read the sign the hours were the same as online...the pool looked nice and clean, the weather was nice...
I was so confused.
And we had 2 unhappy kids!
So then I'm like now what?!?
I called Jeff to see if he knew of a pool around where he worked...he suggested the YMCA and luckily we were able to make it to open swim for the last 45 minutes!
The girls had fun...and that's all that matters!
Here they are at the park near daddy's work waiting around so we could pick him up and go home!
The other day I found Elmo with cheese in his mouth...
chewed cheese.
Ewww!
Josie must have thought Elmo was hungry!
Last Monday we took a spontaneous trip to Hoopla at 7pm!
At first I thought no...Josie needs to go to bed, but then Jeff reminded me it's summer and "Yolo".
Yes, he did say "Yolo"....haha!
As we were pulling out of our driveway we saw Grammy walking by so she joined us! :)
2 happy gals!
This picture cracks me up...
Here she is watching Baby Einstein with a binkie upside down .....
and she doesn't even use binkies!
She's a character!
And I'll wrap this post up with a cute picture of the girls....
Kenzie loves this dress!
Sometimes Walmart is awesome! :)

Twins, a special visit & pigtails! :)

Like my title?
I couldn't think of anything better! :)
I love dressing the girls alike!  It's getting harder since in most stores Kennie wears the big girl sizes and Jo Jo wears the baby girl sizes...so I was excited to find these cute little outfits at TCP! :)
Makenzie was trying to make Jo smile...
poor Jo.

Over the weekend we had some special visitors...
Justine and Tatiana came for the day!
We were so excited!  Kenzie seriously acted like it was Christmas morning when she woke up!
She was so excited to play with Tati!
They came while Jo was sleeping so she woke up and was quite happy to have visitors!

Jo immediately loved Tati and kept on sitting on her lap and giving her hugs! :)
Tati left her brush at our house and for the next day Jo carried the brush around saying Tati (although it sounds like Ella)!
The girls played as Justine and I chatted!  :)
We had a great day filled with catching up, playing, swimming, Chinese food & ice cream! :)
On Sunday I put the girls in pigtails for church...
I'm so excited Jo's hair is about the right length...I love pigtails!

Just a fun day!

We had a fun day here at the Soto's residence!
We started the day at the library for story time.
Makenzie wanted the day off of summer camp so she came with us!
It's hard to believe I started taking her to story time when she was Jo Jo's age and now she's almost 6!
Time flies wayyyy to fast!
As I was chasing Jo around the room and peeling her off other kids I thought how
different they are at this age!
Kenzie wouldn't answer questions, she had to sit on my lap, she stayed with me....
Jo sat on other people's laps...tried to take the book away from Ms. Stacey (who was reading to the kids....) and had to hug every other child.... finally I had to bring Jo upstairs for a couple minutes while Kennie stayed to listen to the stories!
After the stories we went outside to for some water fun...
Kennie loved painting with water...

...and Jo had fun running around dumping water on herself! :)
After a change of clothes (for Jo) we went to Frog Pond...
Jeff is off for a few days (YAAAYY!)...so he was able to join us!
He's starting a new job on Saturday so we are enjoying him around for the next couple days!

I love my little country gals!
But the fun had to end...mommy had to go to work! :(
That's where I'm blogging from right now....shh! :)

Josie's Dedication

This past Spring we dedicated Josie to our church.
Jeff & I made commitment to raise Jo in a Christian home and church where she can come to know, love and serve Jesus.
Although it's not always easy we made the promise to raise Josie (and Makenzie of course) in a Godly way until she is old enough to personal decision to follow Jesus.

As I was taking these pictures my sweet neighbor came out and took pictures of the 3 of us :)

The whole group...
