1st Day of Fall

Since yesterday was the first official day of fall I decided to do a fall craft with Kenzie.  

(I'm trying to do as many fun things with Kenzie as possible now before Josie comes! :)

I didn't know what we were going to make but I knew there had to be some sort of craft to make with leaves so we first went on a leaf hunt....

 And with the help of Pinterest we painted our leaves and stamped them to make "fallish" trees! :)  

 Kenzie had so much fun which made this mama happy! :)

Our Week

Last week was Kenzie's first full week of school!  I think it's safe to say she loves it!  

Monday was the first day riding the bus to school.  I was a little nervous, which was silly because she didn't give me any problems getting on!  She loves the bus and is actually disappointed when I take her in some days! hehe....she even told me not to walk to her all the way to the bus, she can do it herself! :)

 I love hearing stories about school (even though she tells me very little)!  

So far I've gathered this about school:

*She cried on the playground the other day and went to the nurse for ice! :) 

*She plays with a girl with a purple hair tie (doesn't know her name yet)

*One day she came home and said she walked around the playground by herself b/c no one played with her ....so sad!

*The next day she came off the bus and the first thing she said was that a girl played with her on the playground....yay!

*A boy in her class does not listen to the teacher and does not sit "criss cross applesauce"

*The teacher will say "When I talk..." and the kids say "We listen".....Kenzie will say this at home too! :)

*Today she told me "s makes a ssss sound, like in September"

 (I wish I had her hair!)

Not sure where this bad mood came from...moments later she burst out in tears because she doesn't have a pet!  Random!  Luckily, she got over it quickly and was ready for school! :)

 Also, this past week I got hooked on Istagram! :)  

Over the weekend, Kenzie & I took Jeff to work and enjoyed some Dunkin Donuts!  Yum! :)

We enjoyed the beautiful fall weather!

And more importantly, we enjoyed Daddy on Sunday because he finally had a day off! Yippie!!  First time in over 3 weeks, yuck!  Kenzie was soooo excited when I told her Daddy wasn't going to work! So cute!

We ended the weekend watching E.T. in bed!  

Kenzie refused to let me turn it off even though she hid under her blanket during most of the movie! :)

And.........I'm 34 weeks now!  Woo-hoo!  

6 weeks (or less) until we meet our little Josie Marie! 

We can't wait!

1st Day of School

The first day of school was a success!  

I was very nervous about how Kenzie would be....throughout the summer when we would ask her about school she would usually say something like "I'm not going".  The day before we had "meet the teacher" which seemed to help a lot!  While I was getting her ready of her first day she seemed pretty nervous and wasn't too thrilled with the idea of going to school.  And, she had a breakdown an hour before we left b/c there was a misunderstanding about gymnastics.  I had asked her if she wanted to sign up for gymnastics again and she thought we were going to gymnastics right then instead of school!  Ooops!  After about 15 minutes of crying my mom came over with Levi to see Makenzie before we left and that seemed to completely change her mood!  

She was very happy to pose for pictures and seemed excited to leave for school!

 Just like the day before...all these poses were all her idea! :)

I wasn't complaining! 

 Once we were at school she wasn't clingy at all!  

She wanted us to help her hang her back pack and that was it....

She found a table of blocks and she was fine! 

No tears, no clingy-ness! :)  

She happily gave us kisses goodbye and she was fine on her own!

(at this point she told me to put my camera away! I can't believe how much I embarrass her...she's only 4!  Jeepers!) 

After school she was so excited...and we loved hearing about her day!  The next day she rode the bus home for the first time and was beyond excited to be on the "dog" bus!  In fact, she would rather ride the bus than have mommy & daddy bring her in!  :)  

On Friday night I told her that she wouldn't have school the next two days. She responded with "Ahh...but I'm so bored, I love school!" 

I'm so happy our little baby loves school (makes it a lot less sad for mommy!! :)
