5 months {Kenzie & Josie}

It's been awhile since I've done a comparison post! :)  

Most people say that they look a lot alike...

and I think I agree!

I think the older Josie gets the more she looks like big sissy!

One big difference is their hair....Kenzie had a lot darker hair and eyebrows....and Jo obviously has red! :)  

Kenzie also had chubbier cheeks! I never realized how chubby they were until I look back at pictures!

Josie has the little bow...Makenzie has the big bow....

 Josie is in the white onesie....Makenzie is in the pink.....

 For some reason when I take pictures of Jo on her belly it always looks like she has a unibrow! :)

Surprisingly, March flew by!

Usually it's the looongest month but not this year!

Maybe because I'm too busy soaking up the cuteness of this little babe....

We were teased a couple weeks ago with some "somewhat" nice weather!  

Of course we took advantage and went for a walk....

(by the way, Josie loves walks...don't let this grumpy face fool ya!)

seconds later it was all over her face....

minutes later she was screaming b/c she was afraid it was going to "stain" (sting) her eyes....

March also brought some yucky sickness into the Soto household...

poor baby was the first one to get sick...(not sure how....she doesn't go anywhere! :)

....but even feeling a little icky didn't stop her from flashing that pretty gummy smile :)

The nice spring weather didn't last long so we were back inside building castles....

I was quite impressed with this castle Kennie made all by herself!

 I spent most of March trying not to eat this girl up....

 seriously, how could you not want to gobble her up!?! :)

When I had the stomach bug I was in bed (as much as you can be as a mom) for 3 days...

When Makenzie had the bug she decided to dress up as a "leprechaun kitty"....

 Joey thought the leprechaun kitty was very funny....

 I also decided to clean out our freezer to make room for food! 

Even though I haven't had to give Josie any frozen milk I love knowing that it's there just in case she needs it!  

Most were close to being outdated so I tossed most of it....

and then the next week I got the stomach bug and didn't eat for 2 days....

Which made my supply close to nothing! 

Josie would get so mad while she was nursing!  

So then I started to eat and drink a lot again....which made my supply come back! 

(Thank you God...answered prayer!)

and now it's time to restock our freezer  :) (just in case ).  

Sisters, Bananas, PJ Party

Couldn't think of a better title! :)  

Have I ever told  you how much I love these two together?!?  

My heart melts when I catch Kenzie being nice to Josie when she thinks I'm not watching. 

She'll cover her up with a blanket when she thinks Josie's cold, she try to put on her socks when Josie has kicked them off, she rock her in her Rock 'n Play when she's getting fussy and I'm busy,  she'll wipe spit up off her mouth, and she'll rarely walks by her without a little kiss for Joey!

Just the other day I came across a note I had written down (way back in October) that I 

didn't want to forget....

We were going somewhere in the car for the first time as a family of four. 

We strapped both girls in and Kenzie realized Josie was sitting next to her she got so excited and said "I'm so happy I'm not lonely back here anymore!".

She loves having a sister....  

and I know Jo absolutely loves her too! 

 The other day we tried bananas for the first time! :)  

So far we've only tried baby cereal (oatmeal) so a fruit was brand new!

Jeff was working so my little helper fed Jo her first few bites so I could get pictures. :) 

 I'm not sure if you can tell, but she wasn't a fan.  

I tried again the next day and she took a couple bites and cried.  

So far no luck with bananas! 

 A couple weeks ago during "p" week at school Kennie had a pj party!

They even made their own pizza for their party!

She was so excited!

They were able to bring in a stuffed animal...she chose "Sassy Cat".

5 months!

Josie turned 5 months old on March 19th!  It truly feels like I just wrote her 4 month post!  

She's growing so fast!  

And she's oh so sweet!  

We just love her to pieces!! 

Josie Marie @ 5 months....

 *smiles all the time, but rarely laughs!  I know she can b/c she has before but apparently she's not amussed by our humor! :)

 *size 2 diaper...size 3-6 month clothes

 *Horrible sleeper!  She went from a nice nightly routine of going to bed around 6:30 and getting up once or twice to having no kind of routine or schedule! Ahhh....it's frustrating!  I'm not too sure what happened!  

She goes to sleep anywhere from 6-7 but then will wake up three, four, five times a night to nurse....

*Still sleeps swaddled and in her Rock 'n Play rocker!  I tried to stop the swaddle but she's hooked!  I also tried to switch her from the rocker to her bassinet but she's hooked on that too!  Oh well...we'll get to that when the time comes! :)

 *loves playing with her baby toys!

 *loves sissy!  Jo will sit and watch sissy like she's the coolest person she knows! :)  

Kenzie loves it! 

 *Loves going for walks...and just being outside in general! 

 *Still will not take bottles!  Stinker!  She is gaining weight still (she had a doctor appt the other day and she weighed 14 lbs 10 oz) so the doctor said not to worry about it.  She's probably making up for the milk throughout the night...yay. :) 

 *Just discovered her feet...and loves to play with them and tries to eat them! I don't blame her...they are pretty yummy looking!

 *So far she's pretty good with her baby cereal....she's had it about 5 times or so and seems to get better each time.  We've only tried oatmeal so soon we'll try something new.  Maybe a yummy veggie! :)

 *Loves her jumperoo! She can really move around in that thing!

 *Loves her mama!  :)  

Everyone else scares her from time to time!  Sometimes she'll smile and coo and love looking at daddy...other times she thinks he's scary and will burst out crying!  :)

Don't worry Jo soon you will realize Daddy is wayyy more fun than mommy and you'll have him wrapped around your little finger....and he will say yes to almost anything you want! :) (big sis already realized this!).

 *She's rolled over from belly to back but has yet to roll over the other way...

she gets so close yet just can't get that big head of hers all the way over!

I don't think she has a real interest in rolling over....I think she just likes to lay there and look cute! :)

Can't believe next month you will be a half year old!!
