Kenzie's 1st...

Matilda Jane! :)
051
How cute does she look in Matilda?!?! My sister bought Kenzie this outfit for Christmas and I was so excited to put her in it! It's so different from all of Kenzie's other clothes....while I love it don't expect too many more MJ outfits for Kenzie...they are a little out of our budget for baby clothes! :)
Last week Jeannine and I took the girls to Chuck E Cheese! This time is was a lot more enjoyable! We got there right at 10AM so there might have been 1 or 2 other families in the whole building! The girls had all the rides, games and tunnels to themselves!

Kenzie & Abbie spent most of their time riding in the school bus! Abbie even caused a little scene when my sister told her it was time to leave (sorry for including that Jeannine-just had to let everyone know how much they enjoyed the bus!) Hehe :)

I even was able to take Kenzie through some of the tunnels and down the slide! She loved it! I'm not sure how kids do it....it's so painful to crawl through those tunnels!! :)

I'm only posting this picture b/c it's cute of Kenzie.....she loved to look out the tunnel window to see Aunt NeeNee and Grampy! (FYI-I wasn't trying to be in the picture! hehe)

Just an ordinary day...

Just recently I watched a video on another blog called The Gift of an Ordinary Day. Search it on You Tube-it's a really good video...it will make you want to quit your job and spend 24/7 with your kids! :)

Today I couldn't help taking some pictures of Kenzie on just an ordinary day. Since I was at my sister's house and her camera was just sitting there I had to take advantage. I love her camera and the pictures it takes!

The video is about how quickly children grow up and how much you miss those ordinary days from when your children were younger...
After watching the video I realized how many things I will miss when Kenzie is older....to list a few:
*the smell when she wakes up (pee pee, drool & sweat)
*changing her diaper
*chasing after her when it's time for bed, diaper change, get dressed...
*hearing her say "Mama" every morning
*Kenzie's own sign for drink....which usually results in a finger up her nose
*holding her
*combing her curls
*watching Barney while holding her
*watching her dance to Barney....
and those are just a few....

Pictures...

Lately Kenzie has been happy with taking pictures....she will actually sit there and say "cheese".....it makes me so happy and I definitely take advantage!

"funny face"

Ahh...I just couldn't stop taking pictures...hehe
One of my goals for 2010 is to cook a new meal at least once a month...January's meal was a chicken pot pie! It was very yummy and even Kenzie enjoyed it! Jeff does most of the cooking and if he's at work I usually turn to something quick & easy so I was pretty proud of myself that it turned out so yummy!

"cheese" with fishies in her mouth
Daddy's Atlanta Falcon's cheerleader...Despite living in Queens his whole life he's an Atlanta fan! He gets a lot of slack from his friends! :)

Chuck E Cheese

On Saturday Jeff, my mom and I took Kenze to Chuck E Cheese for the first time! Well it's actually her 3rd time but the other times Kenzie wasn't even 6 months old-so I consider this her first time! Despite the crowd, Kenzie had a blast! I think next time we will take her to the Chuck E Cheese in Syracuse b/c they have a separate play area for toddlers! I know she would love to be able to climb on the play area and go down the slide without any big kids around! :)

Sleeping Beauty

I feel like lately I have been really in to taking sleeping pictures of Makenzie. Maybe because when she's sleeping she doesn't run from the camera or just start throwing a tantrum at the sight of it....
I just couldn't help myself tonight....our tired little princess fell asleep around 6:15 watching Barney!
And last night I couldn't help myself either....I just stared at her like this for so long! Why are sleeping babies/toddlers so precious?
Maybe b/c when they are sleeping they aren't screaming, hitting, biting, pushing, throwing things out of anger, etc....hehe! Ahhh...I love her....
...and her smelly toes! :)

Winter break recap

I've had a great week home with little Kenzie! It was so nice spending all week with her-playing with her new toys, sleeping in (she actually slept in to about 7:30 a couple times!), shopping, watching Barney over & over again...

She loves the Little People zoo from Grampy....she'll move the animals back and forth from her toy box to the zoo and sometimes she'll push them around in her stroller.

Playing with her new moo moo cow...

On Thursday my brother & his wife came down for lunch and we got to celebrate Christmas with them! And btw they are expecting a....BOY! I can't wait to meet little Brayden David!!

I realized that I have to let Kenzie grow up a little and feed herself...I'm always feeding her and rarely let her feed herself-I guess you can tell by the yogurt on her nose! Practice makes perfect, right?

I'm not sure when my mom and I are going to learn that Kenzie does NOT like the mall! Over the weekend we tried again...guess what? She still hates it! She did enjoy her time at the mall a little bit when we took a break from shopping to ride some kiddie rides!

Same ride, about 6 months ago! Look how much she has changed!! :)
