June Wrap Up

I can't believe June is just about over!  

Wow...time flies! 

We haven't been up to much....Kenzie & I have been enjoying playing outside, playing with water balloons, going for walks and watching movies in the AC! :)  Jeff has been super busy at work...booo! Last week he worked just about 70 hours! Ugh!  I'm hoping his hours get better soon so we can enjoy some daddy time!:)

We had a little scare here this past week.  Jeff had his 6 month scan last week and they found a lymph node in his pelvis that was larger than it should be.  The doctor didn't think too much of it but thought Jeff should get a PET scan just to be sure.  We do know that if his Testicular Cancer comes back it would most likely come back in his pelvis so we were a little nervous!  On Wednesday Jeff had his PET scan....Kenzie and I both came along since it was also my birthday and we were going to get some lunch after and go to some stores, but we did not know that he would be radioactive after the scan so my mom had to pick Kenzie and I up from the hospital b/c we couldn't be in the same car as him and the doctor even advised (since I'm pregnant) not even to spend the rest of the day with him!  :(  I was pretty bummed not to spend my bday together.....but it was worth it b/c the next day we got good news!  His PET scan was completely clear of cancer! Yay our prayers were answered! :)  The doctor came in and said right away that his scan looked great but his esophagus looked irritated and then asked Jeff if he has horrible heartburn!  Hehe....we had to laugh...compared to cancer, heartburn is nothing! :)

So anyway....here are some pictures from June that I haven't posted...

 The other morning I woke up to Jeff taking this picture.  Look at all that extra space on the left side of the bed, but do we get to enjoy it?  Nope...Kenzie is pushed up against me and has me literally hanging off the side of the bed!  

The other night I woke up to Kenzie trying to take my pillow from under my head.  When I asked her what she was doing she said she wanted a cold pillow! Lol...can you imagine doing that?!? Maybe next time I want a "cold pillow" I'll take Jeff's right from under him while he's sleeping! :) 

Baby Update:

I just had another appt and baby Josie sounds great! :)  

I feel her moving all the time now...I forgot how much I love that feeling! :)

Gymnastics

Kenzie just finished her first session of gymnastics!  

She loved it!!

Jeff & I have been asking Kenzie if she would like to go to gymnastics for a few months now and she would always say yes until she realized that we wouldn't be out there with her!  

Jeannine just signed Abbie up for the 3-5 year old class so I asked Kenzie again....this time she said yes!  

I loved watching them....so cute!!

Dairy Days

Last weekend Jeff & I took Kenzie to "Dairy Day's"!  

We took Kenzie last year and she loved seeing all the animals so we knew she'd love it again this year!

Today & tomorrow the highs are in the 90's! 

Today we started the day at our weekly story time at the library....this week was a little special.  

Today was Teddy Bear Picnic!  

Kenzie was so excited!

 Kenzie picked Pups and Unicorn to attend the picnic with her! :)

 Luckly, the picnic was early so the heat wasn't unbearable....plus the library put out some water toys to keep the kids cool! 

Later in the day I had promised Kenzie that I'd get her pool out.  Her pool is downstairs in the basement under some totes and boxes so I realllly didn't feel like getting it so we walked over to my mom's for some sprinkler fun!  Kenzie was just as happy! :)  I wasn't too happy walking home in 100 degree heat though! :)  

We came home and then relaxed for the rest of the day in air conditioning....I think we will be staying inside tomorrow! :)

Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!! :)

Unfortunately, Jeff had to work on Father's Day :( but he was able to enjoy the morning with us at church and a quick lunch before leaving!  Life of a daddy....always at work! :)  

We celebrated last weekend at Red Lobster...yum! 

 When I asked Kenzie what she loved to do most with daddy her response was "wrestle with him"!  I swear, that's their love language!  The minute Jeff walks in the door after work Kennie will say "come on daddy, lets wrestle!" or the other day Jeff walks in the door and Kennie says "daddy, I thought you were going to tackle me when you got home!" hahaha!  See Jeff, you don't need a little boy! :)

This & That

So we've been enjoying the nice weather lately! 

Summer is here and we couldn't be more excited! :)

Half Way There!

Today I'm 20 weeks!! 

Only 20 weeks (or less) to go until we meet our little girl!! :)

Just some preggo facts so far....

*At my last ultra sound baby looked great!  

*I've been feeling great!!  No more puking! Yay!  And no back pain (so far!)  By this time with Kenzie I already had back pain...so I'm pretty happy!   I don't think I have any food aversions this time around that is going to last the whole pregnancy! In the beginning a lot of things made me sick, but now I'm back to eating anything and everything! :) 

*We picked a name...baby Josie!  Just have to pick out a middle name! :) 

*Going back a couple a weeks ago when we found out baby #2 is a girl....

Jeff has been convinced this whole pregnancy that it's a boy and the night before the ultrasound he had a dream it was a girl!  So going into the doctor's appt he wasn't too convinced anymore! The ultrasound tech. checked for gender right away and before she even said "girl" we both thought girl based on the picture of the screen! She said "looks like you guys will be needing all your pink stuff again!"   We are so happy to have 2 little princesses!! :)

*Kenzie is very happy to have a sister!!  Right from the start she wanted a sister and she was excited when we told her!  She just wasn't too excited with the name Josie though!  hehe...she still wants Shiny Faith Soto!      Lately she switched it too Charlie Faith Soto (which is actually very cute!).  I think she watches too much "Good Luck Charlie"!

*I'm so excited to get Kenzie's newborn and 0-3 months clothes out!  Everyday I contemplate going in the basement to get the totes but then I think it's too early!  I would get them out, wash them and then still wait 20 more weeks to use them! :)
