Early in July poor little Jo Jo had another round of abscesses that kept on coming back!
The first 3 drained on their own but the 4th kept on getting bigger and bigger and it was causing her a lot of pain...so we knew she needed to go to the doctor.
Even though I pretty much knew it had to be lanced I was bummed when the doctor actually said it!
So we headed over the the surgical clinic right after seeing her pediatrician...
the surgeon didn't feel comfortable draining it in his office so we had to come back first thing in the morning so it could be drained in the OR while Josie was put completely under.
We woke up bright and early and headed over to the hospital...
The procedure itself took only 10 minutes or so...so we were discharged by 11am...
She was a little grumpy and groggy at first ....
but by dinner time she was feeling a little bit better....
And by the next day or so she was back to her silly little self! :)

Oh poor Josie, and poor mommy, that was probably way more stressful for you than her. Glad to hear everything went well though, she is a trooper!
