Hometown Holiday Weekend

We had a great hometown holiday weekend!
We started the festivities by putting up our tree!
Kenzie and I put up the tree while Jo napped...and boy was she surprised to see it when she woke up!
She immediately went over and grabbed some ornaments and smashed them t/g and broke them!
And if I remember correctly, Makenzie did the same thing when she was this age. :)
I let Makenzie put the ornaments wherever she wanted...I had to laugh when I looked at the finished product and there were a few ornaments on one branch!

Friday night we went to the tree lighting in the village.
It was raining and not very Christmasy at all but the girls didn't seem to mind!
Makenzie found her friend Madison....and then Makenzie no longer wanted to be with us.
She watched the tree lighting with Madison's family!
When did she become a teenager?!!? :)
On Saturday morning we headed over to breakfast with Santa!
Based on this picture, you can guess how it went...

Josie was happy again at home without any Santas around! :)

Later on Josie napped while Kenzie came to work with me for crafts at the library! :)
...and Santa was there too so she had to sit on his lap again! :)
